Durafold 1000 Hardware

Functional, high-quality bifold door hardware designed for smooth operation, security and clean modern styling.

Traffic Door Handle

Traffic Door Handle

Our traffic door handles are functional and easy to use, allowing for quick and easy inside and outside access. Both the Standard and Nouveau Handles come with high security Superior locking cylinders and operate high security multi-point locking.

Our Pendulum handle is a smooth, sleek handle with a classic design. It is available on both intermediate styles and traffic doors. Strong and robust, it is capable of pulling in heavy panels without the need for additional D-handles. They drive shoot bolt locking and have a key locking facility as standard.

Options: Standard Lever / Lever, Pendulum, Pendulum Nouveau

Intermediate Door Handle

Intermediate Door Handle

Our Pendulum handles are smooth, sleek handles, available on both intermediate styles and traffic doors. They are strong and robust making them capable of pulling in heavy panels without the need for additional D-handles. They drive shoot bolt locking and have key locking facility as standard.

Optional D-Handles

Optional D-Handles

D-handles are an optional handle used in conjunction with the intermediate handles. They are ergonomically designed, easy to use and fitted only to the inside of the doors.

Integrated into the hinge, they provide a solid hand-hold for pulling and sliding the doors open and closed.

Colours: White, Black, RAL

Hinges and Bogie Wheel Assemblies

Hinges & Bogie Wheel Assemblies

Four-wheel bogie assemblies travel on twin stainless steel tracks to deliver smooth, graceful operation.

The bogie wheel assemblies support the full weight of the doors and include a dedicated guide running inside the outerframe for added stability and increased security.

Colours: White, Black, RAL

Traffic Door Buffer Magnets

Traffic Door Buffer Magnets

On suitable traffic-door configurations, high-strength buffer magnets may be fitted to hold the traffic door against the adjacent panel in an open position.

They also act as a buffer, helping prevent traffic door handles from knocking against adjacent panels.

Colours: White, Black, Dark Grey

What Is a Traffic Door?

A traffic door allows quick and easy access from both inside and outside without needing to slide and fold back the main bifold panels.

If your chosen style does not allow for a traffic door, there will be no outside access and at least two panels must be folded to open the doors.

Bi-folding doors slide in pairs, so an uneven number of panels folding in one direction creates an odd panel that can operate independently. This panel is known as a traffic door.

Built For Security Without Compromise

When anyone has new windows or doors installed in their home, security is always at the forefront of their mind. That is why all of our doors have been designed and manufactured with security in mind, giving excellent security without compromise.

High Security Multi-point Locking
01

High Security Multi-point Locking

Traffic doors are fitted with high security multipoint locking as standard. The lever-lever operated mechanism provides six locking points, including deep throw hook locks, a latch, dead bolt and adjustable roller cams to pull the door in tight for added security and weather performance.

High Security Superior Locking Cylinder
02

Superior Locking Cylinder

The cylinder used on these doors is designed to deliver greater protection than a standard euro cylinder, with resistance to picking, bumping and drilling, plus a sacrificial break slot to improve security in the event of attack.

Lockable Intermediate Handles
03

Lockable Intermediate Handles

Even though intermediate handles are generally positioned internally, they still include key locking as standard for extra peace of mind. They can also be keyed alike so one key can operate all intermediate handles on the bifold.

Heavy Duty Shoot Bolts
04

Heavy Duty Shoot Bolts

Heavy duty shoot bolts secure the top and bottom of each intermediate panel. Operated by a pendulum handle, they are designed for a tight fit, smooth engagement and strong compression, helping create a solid barrier against forced entry.

Dedicated Bogie Guide
05

Dedicated Bogie Guide

The bogie wheel assemblies run with a dedicated guide inside the outerframe channel at the top and bottom of the doors. This adds strength, stability and anti-jemmy protection, helping prevent the panels from being forced off track.

High Security Glazing
06

High Security Glazing

Toughened safety glass is supplied as standard, with sealed units internally glazed using a high security bead. Because the units are installed from the inside, they can only be removed internally. Laminated security glass is also available as an upgrade.
