Cockspur handles have no internal locking mechanism and instead rely on the spur, which when closed secures the window at the handle. These handles have a key locking facility and are available in a range of colours.
They only provides a single locking point and therefore several handles may be required to secure larger windows. You can specify different handles on the top hung openers and side hung openers.
The window is secured at the handle via pressure exerted on a wedge plate on the frame. These handles come with a Key-Locking facility for added security and are finished with colour matched screws.

Industry standard, egress and restrictor hinge options for different opening requirements.
Friction hinges are the industry standard window hinge, it remains open by means of friction in the hinge. The clever design of the hinge allows you to keep your window open in any given position without the need for a old fashioned Peg & Stay.
Egress Easy Clean hinges are fire escape hinges, which allow windows of over 350mm wide to comply to Part B (for fire safety) of the Building Regs. They can also slide across to enable cleaning of the outside glass, as with standard friction hinges.
Restrictor hinges are safty hinges that provide a restricted opening of between 7° - 16° depending on the size of the opening, allowing for ventilation, while protecting against accidental falling. You can release and fully open the window for cleaning.

Dummy butt hinges are an optional extra. They are designed to give the appearance of working butt hinges, without the cleaning and safety considerations, of working butt hinges. The rollers are concealed by the sliding sash, which overlaps and runs on the track like a monorail.
Dummy Parliament hinges are an optional extra. They are designed to give the appearance of traditional parliament hinges, projecting out from the frame, but without the safety considerations, of working Parliament hinges.
Our Profile related working butt hinges will give you a truly authentic look, when the window is open and closed. In a closed position the hinges interlock and act as sash jammers. Used in conjunction with a Peg & Stay (not recommended for upper floors).
Royale Putty-Line windows combine heritage styling with modern protection, including multipoint locking, secure hinges, key-locking handles, sash jammers and internally glazed sashes.
If you choose one of the high security locking handle options, the window benefits from a high security multipoint lock with mushroom cams, heavy duty keeps and shootbolts to the top and bottom of the sash.

High security locking handle options operate a multipoint lock with bi-directional mushroom cams, heavy duty keeps and shootbolts to the top and bottom of the sash for excellent compression and smooth operation.
Windows are fitted with high-strength stainless steel friction stays or profile-related butt hinges. Friction hinges help secure the sash, while profile-related butt hinges include interlocking elements that help protect the hinge edge.
All handle options include key locking as standard, allowing the handle to be secured from the inside for added peace of mind and improved compliance with many insurance requirements.
Heritage windows include sash jammers, or vector excluders, which interlock when the window is closed to help secure the hinge edge without affecting normal opening and closing performance.
Additional keeper positions allow the window to be secured in a slightly open position, helping provide background ventilation while maintaining security.
Chelton handle fixings are concealed beneath the glazing bead, so the handles cannot be easily unscrewed to access the locking mechanism from the visible side.
Opening and dummy sashes are internally glazed for added protection, and laminated security glass can also be specified for enhanced resistance if higher performance is required.

Please note: Sight-lines depend on whether you specify the traditional couplers only construction or the transoms and mullions construction (No Show Couplers / Couplers / Transoms & Mullions). The SW0052 / 0053 outerframe is used when the transoms and mullions construction is specified; this results in 32mm externally glazed fixed lites.
