High specification sliding patio door hardware designed for smooth operation, dependable durability and a clean contemporary finish.
These doors are bottom hung and sit on high strength rollers that can take sash weights of up to 200Kg. The hardwearing nylon rollers support the entire weight of the doors and when combined with the stainless steel track, result in a smooth gliding opening action. The rollers are concealed by the sliding sash, which overlaps and runs on the track like a monorail.
Penthouse Plus patio doors have been designed with security in mind, combining robust locking, anti-lift protection and secure glazing details to help provide confidence without compromising on style.
When anyone has new windows or doors installed in their home, security is always at the forefront of their mind. That is why all of our doors have been designed and manufactured with security in mind, giving excellent security without compromise.
From high security multi-point locking through to anti-lift blocks, mono-rail frame construction, key locking handles and secure internal glazing, each feature plays a part in helping to keep the home safe and secure.
Penthouse Plus patio doors are fitted with high security multi-point locking as standard. The mechanism consists of five locking points, including four bi-directional heavy duty mushroom bolts and a deep throw hook lock to help fully secure the sliding panels.
Anti-lift blocks are fitted to the top and bottom of each sliding sash to help prevent the panels from being disengaged from the track. They also act as guides to assist the smooth sliding action of the doors.
The sliding panels run on a mono-rail style track which acts as both a guide and an additional security measure. When closed, the sash wraps around the frame jambs to help conceal the locks and resist attack.
When closed use the key to lock the cylinder to lock off the handle and prevent the handle from being used to operate the locks.
These Patio doors are internally glazed using a high security glazing bead and wedge gasket. This provides both added security and ease of installation. Since the sealed units are put in from the inside they can only be removed from within the property.

Larger panels are supplied without glass. Glazed units over 90kg per panel are supplied unglazed and should be sourced directly from a glazing company. Doors over 6500mm wide use two sections mechanically joined.
If trickle vents are required they are inserted into a 40mm head extension. An optional 25mm projection cill can be added to help protect the brickwork beneath the doors.
These figures apply to heavy duty interlock, standard double-glazed units, 90% argon gas filled low-E soft coat glass and 16mm or more.
