Suitable Applications

Fixed secondary glazing is best suited to areas where a non-opening panel is appropriate and access to the existing window is not required.

Most suited to treating fixed windows, windows with a large clear glass area, or windows in tight spaces such as bay windows.
Suitable for both commercial and domestic applications, including busy areas where traffic noise is a nuisance.
Ideal for listed buildings, heritage or conservation areas, and as a cost-effective alternative to replacing existing single glazed windows.
Also well suited to leasehold properties or any property where the existing external windows cannot be modified.
Important: Sizes shown are for guidance only. Maximum widths can vary depending on your chosen height, and vice versa.
Panel weight: Panels can be made larger than the guideline sizes, but once these are exceeded they can become very heavy, particularly when using laminated or acoustic glass.
Access: Fixed secondary glazing is not recommended where regular access to the existing primary window is required.
Glass safety: Any specified glass must comply with BS 6262 Part 4 safety glazing requirements where applicable.
