Horizontal Sliding Aluminium Secondary Glazing
Secondary glazing is designed to reduce noise and cut heat loss by adding another window inside and in addition to your existing external windows. It is easy to fit and is cost effective and is very popular in conservation areas where the existing external windows cannot be changed. It is ideal near busy roads, airports, train lines or where your existing windows are draughty. Even if you have double glazing already you may still find a useful improvement by fitting secondary glazing.
You can also add a flyscreen to our triple-track secondary glazing allowing you to keep both bugs and the noise out.
Our horizontal sliding secondary glazing can be from 400mm to 4900mm wide and between 400mm and 1980mm high. The panels slide on either wheels or hard wearing nylon skids. In the closed position the panels click and latch onto the outer frame. The secondary comes in white, brown or silver colours as standard, or we can colour it in any of 200+ RAL colours. Depending on if you are looking for noise reduction or improving the thermal properties of your window we offer several glass types. If noise is a problem then we offer laminated or "Stadip Acoustic" glass. For improved thermal performance we offer Pilkington "K" glass. These are just a few of the glazing options, plus most glass can be toughened for when fitting next to doors or close to the floor.
Although primarily used at home in a residential environment, these horizontal sliding secondary glazing windows are also very popular as serving hatches, in office reception areas and hotels.

How The Triple Track System Works
Did you know that calls to NHS Direct regarding mosquito bites have increased 28% in August compared to last year? When thinking about secondary glazing ask if you can also have a flyscreen fitted.
