Durations Aluminium Bi-folding Doors
These excellent aluminium bifolding doors, open like residential doors and slide open. We have been manufacturing them for many years and they have proved to be an excellent, reliable product. With a 90% opening, a low threshold option and the strength of aluminium, these are a great alternative to patio doors. There are lots of opening styles such as all panels folding one way or some folding one way and the rest sliding the other. Integrated Blinds
Another popular option when ordering our bifolding doors is to
specify our unique integrated blinds, with aluminium blades. These blinds are actually
fitted between the 2 sheets of glass in the double glazed unit.
Being inside the sealed unit they never need dusting, will not
rattle in the wind and cannot be played with or damaged by
children. Perfect for use in a Bi-folding door used as a room divider or office partition as they can make rooms and offices feel more open plan, and has both the ability to allow light and privacy. The blinds can be raised and lowered and all sizes will tilt.

Folding Doors Used Internally As A Room Divider
The Duration bi-folding doors are primarily designed for external applications, but work very well as a room divider, such as between the house and your conservatory. When used as a room-divider your bifolding doors can be fitted with a low threshold (just 30mm high and can be partly sunk into the floor) and supply single rather than double glazing (you may of course have double glazing if you wish to reduce noise and thermal transmission between the rooms).
The room divider threshold cill is just 30mm high, so
will typically protrude just 15mm above a finished floor. Using
the bi-folding door as a room divider gives you the maximum
possible opening for a room divider - as the doors fold completely out of the way, to reveal over a 90% opening.
