Duration windows has been fully certified by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and fully registered with a Kitemark licence in respect of the Window Energy Rating Group Scheme. BSI is the National Standards Body of the UK, with a globally recognised reputation for independence, integrity and innovation in the production of standards that promote best practice. BSI is an approved independant agency that is reponsible for auditing our manufacturing process and systems. They have to ensure that we are in a position to fabricate and provide customers with a product, which is complient in the respect of Window Energy Rating Group scheme.

Please Note The Difference Between:
WER (Window Energy Ratings) - used to meet building regulation part L for the energy efficiency of windows, rated from A-G... and...
BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Methods) - a green guide / standard for best practice for rating the sustainable / environmental performance in building and manufacture, rated A-G.

Consumers are increasingly focusing on the energy efficiency of building products to reduce the amount of carbon emissions. The basic U value does not fulfill these requirements because it only aims to give a value for the insulation properties of a window. It only focuses on the and heat loss from the window and takes no account of the solar heat gain that windows are responsible for and how they can improve the overall energy efficiency of the house. The window energy rating scheme provides a very good idea of how environmentally friendly your windows are.
Windows are rated using an A to G scale, which symbolises the total energy efficiency of a product. Where an A-rated window is the highest rating in energy efficiency and a G-rated window has the lowest rating in energy efficiency.
