They come in a wide range of different finishes including our Trend colour range. These Bi-folding doors are built to last with high quality hardware to provide a bi-folding door that slides smoothly with minimum effort. The Pendulum handle range gives this bifold great appeal and the ability to have outside access, without the need for a traffic door. Bring the outside in with our Durafold 1000 Bifolding doors.

TREND COLOUR RANGE IS CURRENTLY THE SAME PRICE AS WHITE FOR THESE DOORS.

Hardware

Our Durafold 1000 aluminium bi-folding doors now come with more robust Pendulum handles on each intermediate panel. The pendulum handle gives you the ability to have outside access without the need for a traffic door.

If your chosen style includes a traffic door then you can have either a conventional lever-lever handle, which is functional and easy to use. Or you can have a pendulum handles for the traffic door as well, giving you a consistent and coordinated look. A traffic door provides quick and easy inside and outside access without having to fold or slid any panels.

Sprung Loaded Traffic Door Buffer Magnets

A Bi-folding Door with traffic doors, may need to be fitted with high strength buffer magnets. These are used to secure the traffic door to the adjacent panel, holding it in an open position. This also acts as a buffer preventing the traffic door from knocking against the other panels.

Available Colours:
Chrome finish only.

What Is A Traffic Door? - How Do I Get Inside And Outside Access?

A traffic door allows quick and easy access from the inside and outside of your bifolding doors, without having to slide and fold any panels. Just as you would have with a conventional back door. In most cases, if your chosen style does not allow for a traffic door, you would be left with no outside access. However our New Pendulum range of handles allows for inside and outside access without the need for a traffic door.

Bi-folding doors slide in two’s, so an uneven number of panels folding in any direction will always result in an odd panel that can operate independently of the sliding panels. This odd (spare) panel is known as a traffic door, and offers quick and easy access from both inside and outside, using a standard lever-lever door handle. Subsequently an even number of panels will result in no traffic door and no outside access.
