Durations Continental folding doors create an open, flexible, modern space for both living and working environments. High Security Multipoint Locking
Traffic doors allow for outside access and as a result need to be highly secure. Our Continental Folding Doors have high security multi-point locking to traffic doors. This consists of two heavy duty hook locks, which secure onto the frame so even if the intermediate shoot bolts are not locked the doors are secured in place. A standard latch and dead bolt, to make for four locking points.
Double traffic doors have a master and a slave door. The master door have the locking described above and locks onto keeps situated on the slave door. While the slave door have additional shootbolt locking top and bottom, which are operated by finger latches.
High Security ABS Locking Cylinder
The locking cylinder that is used on these doors as standard is no ordinary locking cylinder. The Avocet ABS high security snap secure cylinder, is pick resistant, bump resistant and drill resistant.

Lockable T-handles
Our T-handles have a key locking facility as standard, for added security and piece of mind. This is especially useful on bifold door styles without a traffic door. The key on all T-handle cylinders can be keyed-a-like so that you only need one key to operate every T-handle, on each of your doors. However since the cylinder on traffic doors is an snap-secure cylinder you will always have a separate key for the traffic doors.
Heavy Duty Shootbolt's
Heavy duty shoot bolts secure the door between each intermediate panel (each operated by a pop-out T-handle). They are specially designed to fit exactly into the outerframe, tightly securing the doors in place.
The shootbolt's are top and bottom of each intermediate panel, protecting the doors against forced entry.
Dedicated bogey guide
The bogey wheel assemblies have a dedicated guide that runs inside of the outerframe, at the top and bottom of the doors. This guide not only gives the doors additional strength and stability helping to keep the doors running smoothly, but it also prevents the doors from being forced / lifted off the track. Providing added security against forced entry.
High Security Glazing
The Glass for our Bifolding Doors is high security toughened double glazed sealed units as standard. This then internally glazed with a high security bead for added security and ease of installation. Because the sealed units are installed internally they can only be removed from inside the property. You can upgrade to 6mm laminated glass for further strength and security (at an additional cost).
